What Makes Us Different?

To ensure success on your project, our distributors provide turnkey service, supplying and installing the doors.

Ease of Use

The perimeter gasketing is designed not to require significant force to seal against the door. This makes the door easier to operate than our competitors.

Laboratory Testing

Our door was subjected to a much more comprehensive Radio Frequency test using 16 different frequencies at 6 points around the door with horizontal and vertical antenna orientations.  Yes, we tested this door in 192 different ways! Most manufacturers only test the center of the door, measuring both horizontal and vertical antenna positions.  Yes! we tested the perimeter of the door, where it is more likely to leak RF.

Semi-mortise Door Bottom

The SOS door bottom is semi-mortise. Some manufacturers have RF door bottoms that are surface applied. Surface-applied door bottoms can catch pedestrians, wheelchairs, and carts as they move through the opening.  Surface-applied door bottoms do not comply with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) or ABA (Architectural Barriers Act).

Fully Adjustable RF and STC Door Seal

Laboratory tests are done under ideal conditions, which means the wall and floors are perfect.  In the real-world environment, walls and floors have variation.  The SOS door gasketing is adjustable, allowing for some variation in the wall and floor while still maintaining your RF and STC ratings.

Floor Clearance

The standard SOS threshold is 1/2” tall.  As our door opens, it gradually rises another 1/2” , giving you a total of 1” clearance at the fully open position.  That is a lot of clearance!
